Anyone tried Sanofor?.... fortiflora and cat malt?

Hi there
I had the return of the runny poo this morning with Sylvester.:sad1: Have ordered some fortiflora sachets as these seemed to help when he had them from the vet. I've also ordered some Sanofor moor liquid from zooplus- there are a couple of reviews suggesting that it helps with soft stools. I've just given him a teaspoon in his lunch- it's black looking stuff which makes his food look disgusting but he ate it up really well. I feel like I'm being a bit experimental however.
So anyone else tried sanofor and do people reckon it is overkill to give sanofor AND fortiflora? I also got him some cat malt as I heard that helps with hairballs- I saw him pull off and eat a big clump of fur a couple of days ago....
