Longfellow at 5 Months
I just wanted to share some updated photos of Longfellow. At 5 months, he weighs about 4.8 kg. I am noticing that not all Maine coons have a coat as long as Longfellow's. It's a bit of a chore to keep it untangled and free of debris as he likes to play in the container garden on the deck.

Such a nice fellow you own. Great cat, love him.

Good looking boy. Nice to see another cat around the same age as Basil.

I think he's going to be a big lad! What lovely eyes - he's fabulous :drool1:

Thank you, fellow Maine cooners! Longfellow has been a great addition to the family, though now that he's bigger than the other two cats, they are not as nice to him. He plays a bit rough for their cranky older personalities. The straight-eared Scottish fold is almost three and cannot out-wrestle the 5-month old Longfellow. Poor Angus has taken to hissing--something I had never heard before Longfellow came along--, but I'm hoping that neutering Longfellow at 8 months will calm him down a bit. I'm attaching a picture of when the two were buddies, when Longfellow was a wee kitten and did not bully Angus or steal his treats.Attachment 6118

Aww that's not good to hear. I have been lucky I think all of my cats and dog took to Basil straight away. River my domestic shorthair has been hit with a car has three teeth and a bionic leg has a bit of a growl but that's usually because he is a bit sore.
