Does your cat pant?

Thats very very reasureing NCarver thank you, like I said at the begining of my post I am paranoid about all things MC they are just so precious & haveing lost Milo to heart problems that came on very suddenly its a case of could I have done anything eairler for him when he just started to be quiet, not his usual wurlwind self but I put it down to him getting older as he was eating & drinking fine & then Merlin who's breathing was awful but that was because of FIP & the vet initially thinking it was HCM after treating Milo I just felt a bit like should I say anything or not & I do hope I have'nt upset or worryed anyone it definately was'nt my intention.

I have to admit I watch Louie like a hawk but his breathing when he's asleep is nice & even & relaxed & he sleeps in all sorts of crazy positions so no worrys with him but I do watch how much we let him race around eg throwing things for him & the cat light as worry about his joints with the speed he is growing at & one animal in the house with HD is enough although Im pretty sure louie would enjoy the hydrophysio at the vets :smile:

Certainly if your cat starts panting for no apparent reason (e.g., not hot from playing heavily or being in the sun) or if it begins breathing rapidly for an extended period of time, you want to get it to a vet to be listened to and looked at. Panting briefly right after very active play I would not worry about at all.
