A picture I didn't think I would see.....
We have had a rough few days with our little flat chested girl Pansy Potter, she appeared unwell Thursday morning so I took her to work with me,by the time I arrived there she was burning up & when the boss took her temperature it was still rising at 106.1F at that point she collapsed just from the stress & I thought we were going to loose her,the boss injected her but we daren't put her on a drip because we both felt the extra stress would be too much for her so I just cuddled her until we saw which way she was going to go,within an hour she lifted her head & willingly took fluids from a syringe so I continued giving them to her by mouth through until 3.30am Friday morning when she fought back & said enough is enough,by that teatime her temp.had dropped to a more reasonable 102.3F & she started to eat,she has continued to improve & this morning she had put herself out into the pen & was at her feeding station when we went out with breakfast, what a relief.
Big brother Bruce has been with her since I brough her home Thursday night,he normally feeds on another shelf & then spends the day watching life from the top shelf of the pen,not over the last few days,he would go to bed with the others but as soon as he was allowed out he went & laid with his baby sister & today he fed in his usual place but then chucked Welly out of his place so once again he could be near his sister,he has stayed there all morning with her, bless him, just sitting looking at her,I think he was sending his vibes out to her.At this moment in time she is tipping out the toy box so fingers crossed....

Hi Howlinbob, not sure what caused it all the others are fine so not likely to be infectious, she did have a bad tumble last Saturday afternoon but seemed ok but did wonder if it could have been a delayed reaction or as the fungal spore count is high at the moment {several asthmatic cats have been in last week suffering}& she does have problems with that part of the anatomy boss seems to think it is more likely all tied in with that, she has been rather choked up this past week & ever since we have had her we have treated her as if she has cystic fibrosis & used to pat fluid off her lungs three or four times a day, gradually she has grown out of it more but we had been patting away at least once a day up until today & suddenly all seems to be going the right way,she has just had her daily tablet is now waiting for supper & back to telling the boys off,if things do start to revert will have to bite the bullet & have some tests run on her but at the moment, fingers crossed...

Still going the right way, temp.is normal today, she is eating well but gets tired very quickly, brother Bruce is still on sister watch but he will leave her for a bit of a look round but then rushes back to her, when he gives up sentry duty I will feel that we have won this round.
They both say thank you for the cuddles & belly rubs....x
