Hi all, I am on the waiting list for a rescue Coonie and I wondered if any of the members have had experience of rescuing an adult Maine Coon?
Look forward to hearing from you if you have!

As any older cat you'd just have to give he/she time to adjust and be patient in bonding and trust levels x make yourself available to them but try and make them come to you, it shows they feel comfortable once they do that x
Some will just take to you like nothings ever been different but some will take their time, depending on their situations x
good luck when it's your time :)
I don't have experience with it myself, but I think it's a very noble thing to do. Hopefully you won't have to be patient for too long anymore and you'll be able to welcome a coonie some time soon. Good luck!!!
I hope it wont be too long but it's an unknown science! Luckily my Mum used to rescue and rehome moggies so I have a great support from her! I'll just have to look at all of the fab photos and advice on the forum and wait my turn!
