I wouldn't know...
Tatja sometimes quivers - very briefly - in her sleep, but not when being cuddled and purring.
I hope someone will give you a more useful answer soon.
None of mine quiver under normal purring but when Buddy works his way up to purr overdrive his ears and paws quiver and the tip of his tail seems to have a mind of its own.
Poif quivers a lot of the time, even when not purring, and always when she's resting. I have no idea what it's about and have taken her to the vet but they said she was in perfect health. It's just the way she was drawn I guess...
If your cat is eating,drinking,playing & seems happy in every other way all I would say is where most of us have MC's with rolls royce engines as purr machines yours has a traction engine inside,enjoy,bless....x

My old boy quivers when he is happy, tail up, purring away, quivering and dancing on his hind legs. I think it is a reflex akin to marking.
