Wet Food, how much for a kitten?

I've had my MC kitten, Milo now for a week on Monday! :D
The breeder said to feed him MC Royal Canine Kitten food dry and wet food felix as good as it looks. She said half a pouch in the morning and half in the evening.... She said to increase to a whole pouch morning and evening when he's bigger.
Now, Milo has been eating that amount within a couple of minutes of it being put down. He's then quite vocal during the day, even though he has dry available through out the day.
So just wondering how much others feed? And what times? He's actually 5 months on the 19th of this month.

Oh and his poo has been smelling foul. I know it's going to smell but this takes our breath away kind of smell. My 17 month old daughter has learnt to say 'Stinky' it's that bad! :rofl: lol. Is this normal for the food? Or would you say it could be worms? He has been dewormed before he left and she advised in another month to repeat.

Well I have read that you should feed kittens as much as they want as they won't over eat, so if he is still wanting more wet food then I would feed him some more or increase what you are giving him. My 2 boys who are at the breeders at the moment are on Royal Canin and Felix and as soon as I get them I am going to put them on to raw food as I personally think this is the best possible food for my cats and it also makes their poos smell of nothing as the body is absorbing most of the raw food unlike the felix stuff which is equivalent to McDonald's.

If your in England take a look at Natural Instincts for raw food or if you want to see if Milo will like raw just get some minced beef from your supermarket. Alternatively Applaws and James Wellbeloved are good wet foods. Good luck with whatever you choose :)

hi there - my breeder warned me that the poo thing could happen - she said if that's so to change her food. She actually told me NOT to give her any dry food at first as kittens sometimes have a reaction of this kind, it is too rich, even though it stipulates "kitten" on the pouch. She also advised, Jelly only, no Gravy as once again Gravy is too rich and interferes with their digestion, could give them the runs and stinky poo!
so - I would change him on to Jelly kitten food only, Neevie could eat up to 6 pouches per day when she was little, till 1 year old - then slowly on to adult jelly food - and then slowly on to gravy food if you like - Neevie has been allowed gravy only since 1 and a half. And only THEN I allowed her dry food, but made sure she was drinking OK first. Cats don't naturally drink out of thirst, they actually don't know when they're thirsty - so dry food + no water = bad for kidneys. If you give him dry food, make sure he drinks.
