You have not lived until you have tasted a "Hostess Twinkie" They are a yellow sponge cake with a whipped cream filling! OMG so good! I am from the midwest of the US and we all grew up eating Hostess products. I just came across some Bomono's Turkish taffy. The banana flavor was my favorite when I was a kid, it was 5 cents a bar then now it is $1.19 hahaha gotta love that!

do you know something called Tagada Strawberries? I can't ever find it here, though it's from Haribo which is a well known brand - looks like the UK market didn't suit them.... I miss them! but they're not totally lost, every time someone come from France for a visit they bring me some :-D

Alekto I have never heard of Tagada Strawberries, are they a chewy sweet ? Have heard of Haribo though, I associate them more with kids sweets though. Atleast you can have yours brought across from France that is a bonus Alekto. lol
Thanks for taking time to post its interesting hearing about things from other people that you would never usually know about. xChris X

Chris, nope toffee and taffy are not the same! taffy is what we sometimes call salt water taffy, you get it at the circus and fairs, it is soft and goey. Where I think toffee is a harder candy but just as delicious! Haribo makes gummy candies that are sold here in the us and they seem to be a big hit!
