What To Do With The Cats???

Going away for the long Holy-day weekend. The wife has been gone since Sunday. It's been me 'n the cats, hoo-boy.
Not bad really but when I got home Monday they had been starving, well to hear them tell it. ' Seems a 'Coon or 'Possum dragged the food dispenser out in the yard and ate it all so they had nothing to eat for a day. Oh well.

Now I'm off to join the wife (tomorrow) and will have to leave them to their own devices. I'll let them stay inside and put the food dispenser down for them too. That way no varmint's will get it. I'll make sure they have a water bowl but like as not they'll just drink from the toilet. :what?:Hey! If they like that, more power to them.

So Y'all have a great weekend where ever and what ever it is to you.

Are you leaving the gang to their own devices for the whole 4 days then?
We have a nice man (we pay him to be nice) who comes to visit Neevie twice a day when we're off... feed her, make sure she'd ok, may be play with her and give her a cuddle, though if that's not done I don't mind so much. he's the owner of the local cattery but Neevie had such a wiggage the last time we left her at the cattery we've agreed to have her looked after at home from then on...
We also have a friend who offered to stay here while we're away for 2 weeks in August, look after the monster pirate and do stuff like mow the lawn and stuff in exchange for having a place to crash. Good deal...

Have a great time Whyemier and a happy holiday to you as well, you know you could take pictures and share you know !! lol I am sure your babies will have a great time when you are away !! You know what they say, when the humans are away the cats will play !!! lol

Well I didn't take photos, never thought to. We're on Anna Maria Island, west coast of Florida, last night the fire works were going off from one end of the beach to the other. beach stretches for five-six miles along here as far as we can see. Went on for well over an hour.

I wonder about the use of fireworks, I mean beyond the celebration aspect. When you think of the phrase"Bombs bursting in air..." are we trying to get the feel that F. S. Keyy had when he viewed this event. Is it that many wish to experience, albeit in a milder way, what he and others went through so that as a whole this experience is not lost. I guess not, most probably don't think beyond it being another day off work and time with family. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

How can you not think to take pictures............come on we need to share these things with you all and pictures are the only way !! lol

My babies hate fireworks I have to say, so for that reason I am not keen. !! lol
