These are the two main drug agencys used by British Vets and if you wish to check on NOAH's website it's open to the public.

Those are supplements and are regulated, when we hear about garlic given to cats it's in the raw form human grade that is not advised.

Sorry I forgot that this is on the world wide web not just in the UK, if I'd have looked a little closer at your link I would have realised......need sleep!!!

Could I just remind everyone not to believe all that you read on the internet when looking at articles re any feeding / diet for cats. Several are fake and there are actually people out there who deliberately set out to harm animals. I am not saying that anyone on here would do this but as I am Trustee of an Animal Rescue Charity and run a cat rescue it is something that I come up against all the time

As an example, one lovely gentleman contacted me recently after reading a website that was apparently written by a scientist and he was really worried that he may have harmed his cats. Having looked at the website that he was talking about it became clear that far from the research by a Scientist it was simply one persons opinion with the odd piece of misquoted research thrown in to back the writer up. The author claims to be a scientist yet they do not put their name to the site which in itself rings alarm bells. The site is a poor quality and looks like it has been done at home using one of the free website builder tools. Read it for yourself

Back to the OP this thread seems to have gone from what is a genuine concern re the safety of a cat food and has once again deteriorated into a slanging match.

Yes I have come across CatScience.info - the author posted it on another forum where fortunately no-one was convinced and he was soon accused of trolling.

Turns out the author is our old friend NCarver. For those who don't know, he was perhaps the most aggressive of the anti-raw camp during last year's debate, and he was eventually banned from this forum. He was very fond of telling people he was a scientist, and when pressed revealed he was a computer scientist, and therefore had no particular inside information or authority on the pet food industry, although he preferred to give that impression for as long as possible. I agree that his website is pretty poor for an expert in the computing field.

OMG! I had no idea, I thought it was just another hoax site. I even posted it on my rescue website to warn people off it. Oh dear. *shivers at the memory of those bad old days* thankfully he is now gone from here although I do remember he had multiple accounts at the time and liked to agree with himself on threads. I really hope this is not de ja vue
