Is he ok in himself otherwise...eating,drinking,pooing,playing ok..? Could be that he has found his natural weight level by going onto adult food & will now carry on putting his weight back on at a slower rate which you would expect at the age he now is,I never keep my babes on any kitten food that long but back them up with extra vitamins to start with, while they are younger I use a gel for a couple of months but then put them onto a powder like SF-50 until around 18mths of age & then stop but do use it again any time they have been poorly to give them a boost.I would think if he is ok at every other level he had a lot of "baby fat" to loose & if it was excess baggage wouldn't be helping him anyway,if he has changed in his mannerism drasticly seems down in himself a quick vet check wouldn't come amiss although going by his age would think he had one not too long ago for his booster...x
