I feed my cats wet food 3 times a day and they always have a choice of dry food available. There's not ever a time when they couldn't eat if they wanted to. One of them scoffs her wet food when it goes down and one tends to wander off and come back later.
I have not found that my cats over eat. I expect some cats do but I have no problems and they regulate their own intake. Some days they are hungrier than others - but then so am IVisit us at www.longwalkclark.co.uk

I have always found that up to a year-18months MC's can pack away an amount that surprises you,my eight month old girl beats the big boys hands down at the moment but having said that they can also play up for more food when they don't really need it,have had one like that & another one now that gets fed away from the others as his eyes are bigger than his tum, give her more but wet food rather than dry less likely to over weight gain & just see what happens,I am sure her appetite will drop off as she matures more as no way could I keep the amount of cats that I have if they had continued eating at the babes rate...!
