Is he eating too much ? Question

My boy Dexter is 8 months/2 week old, this is our first Maine Coon. We got on the scale today and the cat is 15 lbs or 6.82 kg. Is body is very long he dosent look overweight but feel very heavy...It this a normal weight ? He only eats the following:

-Royal Canin 36 dry kibble. He always has access to it
-twice a week he will get fresh salmon (about the size of a deck of cards)
-Frozen Peach and strawberry as a treat, maybe 2 peices twice a week.

Should I limit his kibble intake? He has a very good appetite and is very food oriented.
