Yep, we lasted with one MC for three months. In that time, we looked at Norwegian Forest Cats, Ragdolls, and other long-haired breeds. In the end, we were hooked on MC's and drove six hours to get our white MC boy.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, I gently cleaned his ears and it doesn't seem to have come back so far... But he's going to the vet in 2 weeks for FeLV vaccination anyway so will keep an eye on him and make sure they check him out fully

Just thought I'd update everyone - the vet checked his ears/wax today and said is perfectly normal and nothing to worry about. I've been weighing him weekly and he was weighed at the vet's today which confirmed he's been steadily gaining weight

FWIW, MC Elvis is almost 2 years old and he's still very lean.

I can feel his backbone and ribs and somedays he looks as if he's starved, but he
gets all the RC MC 31 he wants and eats a couple of small cans of Fancy Feast a day.

Vet says he's fine. His bones are still growing faster than he can add any meat...

Presumably he'll fill out in the next year or so...
