Thread: What could this lump be?

Thanks for the reply, its like a circle of white semi -healed/fused skin with a red centre and then on top is a scab which is slightly detached (which you can see on the photo) with fur growing through the scab. She isn't in any discomfort with it but I'm not sure if it could be ringworm?

I am going to take her to the vets tomorrow - just concerned as we are due to go on holiday on Friday

I am sure it will not interfere with holiday,the pain would be if it is ringworm then you will be treating all of the cats,brilliant hobby.
Could just be something like a sebacous cyst,will look forward to your posting tomorrow night..x

hi all, just thought i'd update now i'm back from the vet.

The lump is just a scab on top of the wound where her pre-med injection was for her spaying op a few weeks ago! I'm so pleased, plus the vet didn't charge me for the consultation! I'll drink to that!

Thats a brilliant outcome all round then,wouldn't have thought of that one we use the thigh at our surgery.

they did two injections one was a "pre op" whatever that is, and one was the anaesthetic. She also had her microchip done. hmm.....hope it's not where the microchip is actually.........
