Hi, I am sure you know what your doing and my practice I had in my home town of Lancashire was much the same as the kind of surgery you sound like you have.

I do not and will never allow blood to be taken from my cats necks, I can get the blood out with out shaving out of their front forearm in a matter of minutes and have for years I worked part time in my friend practice doing exactly that... Its person choice for me... and to be honest after what i saw happen with Frodo I will not let it happen again a simple blood test turned in to a very expensive procedure and one not so happy stud boy and to top it all they shaved his leg and his neck... and he is a Lilac colour pointed and it ruined his coat...

I have contacted the chipping place over here whom have seen my credentials and it looks like I will get the microchips no problems just have to now find a nice vet for all the rest!!

    Thanks again

OMG the vet prices there! Wowza! You would have to charge a fortune for a kitty to make a profit. Locally, I would have paid only 433 EUR for a MC kitty. What does one cost there?
To buy a pet Maine coon kitty I charge 409 to 450 euros. Most breeders here charge from 500 to 750 just for a pet... I think its too much hence my price... But there are a lot of reds my daughter has a stunning red tabby and white boy but there are just to many.... lol

Red head kitties are soo beautiful. I have always kept at least one domestic red in my house. Next red will be a MC though and I will call her Lucy.
Yes the prices are very expensive and I have been paying 25 euros for the microchips... which again is extortion... but You KEEP with them, because a good vet is hard to find.. but since they have become larger they really do not care... so its time to move on...

I like him... he is stunning, and huge... but we have no girlys for him.... so he has to go soon...
