My kitties just found relatives on this forum after I posted picture of their great grandmother from England. It was so exciting for me!
My cats father is Sebastian from Main Villa cattery in Ohio. Sebastian has recently retired from shows and breeding:

Their mother is Phoebe from Willabelle Cattery in Ohio:

Maternal GM pedigree is

Maternal GM picture is

and Maternal great grandmother is

May be I will be lucky and find more than one relative?
PS. I studied my cats pedigree more than my own...
Well, you've already found three! In that chart I see some ancestors he has in common with all three of our Coonies. Their most recent common ancestor seems to be Hillside Mr Spock of Willowplace. :koolkat:
My cat are elated! They want to have a family reunion with lots of food and games.
It is hard to believe that wild Mr.Spok is an ancestor of your (and ours) sweet kitties.
I am in a hunting mood now and going to scan copy of father and mother's pedigree to look for more relatives.
This is the photo of sister's first birthday celebration this year:

Apologies, not sure which cat is which but the one on the left is a lovely colour - is she a black smoke, or am I just a bit obsessed? And the photo angle of the one on the right made me smile - she looks like she's balancing the blue glass on her head! Very nice photo.
Well, you'd better stock up on food big time then, and hire a stadium for the games. Because I think all of the Coonies on here are related. Look at wild Mr Spock's pedigree and you'll see he is descended from Bridget & Andy Katt of Heidi Ho (whom I believe were brother & sister or father & daughter - the mind boggles). As far as I know, this pair are in the pedigree of each and every MC on the planet.
Candes, how mean of you to take Teddy's pic when he's having a bad fur day... and posting it. :grr:
Anyways, when I have the time I'll look him up in Pawpeds and see if I can find the Most Recent Common Ancestor to one of my three. Should be interesting.
Antonia is right; virtually all present day MCs share a substantial part of their lineage if you go back far enough. Three of our cats are very closely related to one another (within the last three generations). The fourth is a bit more distantly related.
Here is our girl Bella's pedigree on Pawpeds:
Chemicoons Bellagio
The above link expands back four generations, but if you select to expand back 10 generations people will probably find lots of overlaps with their cats since this gets back to the clones and even foundation cats along some lines. Because Bella's maternal grandfather, Calicoon Sherman, was bred for quite a while (I believe), she has clones only five generations back, and a foundation cat only seven generations back.
If you look at her foundation ancestors, you see she is 43% Andy and Bridget Katt and 73% Top Five:
Chemicoons Bellagio
Our other girl, Allie, is also in Pawpeds:
Coonbitzky Aldehyde of Chemicoons
While Sherman was one of Bella's grandfathers, he was one of Allie's great grandfathers.
Our youngest boy Zephyr's father is a brother to Allie (though not from same litter).
Right on... I took a quick look at the Pawped pedigrees you provided. Selected two names: MtKittery Penobscot and Charmalot King Arthur Pendragon. They are in the pedigrees of your cats, and in all three of mine...
Are you referring to a likeness between Teddy & the MRCA ... or do I have a warped sense of humour?:rofl::rofl:
BTW - I am planning to put the three of them on Pawpeds, but I don't know how to go about it. I am meeting the breeders next Saturday and will ask them.
Our two girls were put on by their breeder/owner--not us. Zephyr's sister is on Pawpeds as well since she will be bred. Our other boy, Remy, is not on, though you can find his ancestors. His closest common ancestor with our other three cats is six generations back in his line.
Firstly, I loved the first pic of Teddy... Antonia's right, it was mean to post his picture like that, especially as you can tell by his ears he was feeling very self-concious... really made me chuckle, you have a wicked sense of humour,
And I cannot believe how alike Teddy is to his Paternal Grandfather; even to his maternal Grandpa to a large extent but OMG does he look like his Grand-daddy. Teddy's got a really striking little face - his markings make him look quite tiger like but he's got such a beautifully sweet little face that contrasts with the markings it fascinates me. And his Grandpa was the same! I might bite the bullet and look up Psycho and the Spider Monkey. I bet I discover that Wicca is a descendant of Darth Vader's cat...
I think so, or maybe its I hope so, for Ambers sake, but I am not going to stress her out chasing her up and catching her, she likes peace and she likes to be high up, and she knows if we get a chair to reach her what we are doing and she just moves out of reach!! but I am keeping an eye on her and she is either eating more than her fair share of the biscuits, or she has swallowed a large football, or she is pregnant. lol, either way, no matter what tomorrow, or Thursday she will be caught because if she is, she will not be far off due...
So better to be safe than sorry... she is a black Tortie smoke and white so to our blue silver tabby boy.... should be some very interesting kitties..
I noticed that all close relatives of Teddy Bearz have white aprons but he does not. May be white color coat is a recessive gene?
I am posting everything I have on my girls pedigree. Any more relatives out there?

Candes, our Remy is a McKittycreek cat. His paternal grandfather is a very well known MC, McKittycreek T. Ruxpin of Shubacoons. You can see his photo here:
~Shubacoons Maine Coons~
Here is his Pawpeds pedigree:
McKittycreek T. Ruxpin of Shubacoons
So Remy and Teddy share McKittycreek Eddie Bauer (4 generations back in Remy and 6 back in Teddy).
Remy's pedigree was on the web by way of his sister being at Stormytown Maine Coons, but they don't have Kimmie's pedigree linked in anymore. I saved it, but will have to see how to make a version available.
How cute! Teddy has not only bib but also white mittens. White gloves make cats(and humans) look more dressy and elegant.
I am glad you all searched Pawpeds. I followed your example and found interesting links on my cats Maternal Grandfather:

It is not easy to find relatives, that is why when I was so excited when I found some, especially on the other side of the pond.
Speaking about family reunions...My sister and her friend adopted girl and boy maincoons from the same litter, and then after they turned 1 year old decided to have their first B-day together. The owners were anticipating this event months ahead, and finally the big day came.
Sister- cat met her Big Brother with loud hissing, and when he dared to play with her toy, they started real fight, and the owner of Big Brother had to put growling cat in the carrier and go home. That's how their birthday and family reunion ended.
This story made me realize how territorial our cats are.
MCs differ in personality, and boys and girls differ on this. Never heard either of our boys hiss or growl at each other or the girls, but the girls hiss at the boys on occasion. When we got Bella, the breeder warned us that she had a "dominant personality." We were still not prepared for 4 month old Bella to growl loudly at our big MC mix male Karma. I still remember the surprised look on his face (and I am sure on ours). She still tries to assert her dominance over the other cats.
See, being new to this, I got quite excited when I finally looked at Pawpeds... I wasn't sure that I was looking at Pawpeds correctly, but IF I was, I thought both my MC's might be related to yours... bare with me..
Freyja's mum is Kititas Mildred, and Freyja's Great Grand-pa is Arctic Coon Paparazzi. If I look him up in Pawpeds, it appears he's related to Hillside Mr Spock and MtKittery Penobscot (both 7th Generation to Freyja). I think.
Wicca's dad is also Arctic Coon Paparazzi, and Mr Spock is her Great Great Great Grand-dad.

Also found a photo of the legend that is Mr Spock in case you'd not already seen it - not the most handsome cat I've ever laid eyes on, I have to confess!
Willowplace Famous Males
Penobscot is much more handsome...
Google Image Result for http://home-1.tiscali.nl/~hoorsouw/MtKittery%20Penobscot.jpg
And so is King Arthur...

After I read your post about Penobscot and King Arthur, I realised that the likelyhood of NOT finding ancestory was smaller than finding it! I'm not sure I've got my head round the generation thing yet, though.
My two Budletts boys have got Arctic Coons Paparazzi in their pedigrees (they are both out of Kititas parents) so also have a lot of Willowplace in their backgrounds. Its a small world
Budletts Life of Riley (Riley)
Sire: Kititas Silver Bumble Bee Dam: Kititas Mistral (Paparazzi is her dad)
Budletts Charlie Chester (Chester)
Sire: Kititas Furari Dino (Furaris Sire: Paparazzi) Dam: Budletts Anastasia (her Sire: Kititas Prince of Budlets - Princes Sire: Paparazzi)
So although both boys are from different litters and different parents they are quite closely related. They have quite a few ancestors from Cambric, Willowplace, Noracoon, Coonyham and Arctic Coons between them.
LOL, it looks like all our Coonies are related in various ways. They all have pedigrees dotted with Coonyhams, MtKitterys, Willowplaces, etc..
@candes, I couldn’t find Teddy’s parents in Pawpeds, but I did find Razzle Dazzle his gorgeous black and white granny. The most recent ancestor I could find that she has in common with all of my cats is the utterly lovely looking Saint Clouds Cheyenne of Coonyham (click her name for a picture) – but perhaps there is one even more recent.
And of course, further back Penobscott & King Arthur are in there as well. But as Karen already remarked: in whose pedigree are they not?
Last Saturday I completely forgot to ask our breeders about adding our Coonies to the Pawpeds database … I was too busy cooing over their 8 week old babies. :kisses:
But, in case someone is interested, you can find Tatja’s littermate (so the same pedigree) here:
Pantherinicoons Zlata
And here’s Minnie’s sister:
Pantherinicoons Gwyneth of Sweet Rialto
El Monto doesn’t have any littermates in Pawpeds, but this is his mum:
Krioty Pikachu
And this his dad (note he’s also the girls’ grandad):
SleepyHollow Loverboy
My late China had Mr Spock as a great great grandparent & Bruce has MtKittery Penobscot as a grandparent, guess what I will be doing on my day off....
Just the other day I read on another forum that Mr Spock has contributed a great deal to the way MCs look today. Which I can very well imagine ... he does have the wild 'grumpy bulldozer' look in extremis, and nowadays you still see a watered-down version of that look in many of his descendants.
A grandparent? Wow, that Penobscot must have had a pretty long career as a stud before retiring.
You are right Antonia, add another great onto both of those,I forgot that both of them were offspring of those on pedigree,I thought the "port & brandies" I have been drinking for my rotten cold had kept me more clear headed than "tablets",perhaps not but taste far better...
