Don't panic most of our furries are causing us more headaches in this heat....brushing will not get out mats you need to comb them out first then get some fine unscented powder {would think you can get it for babies as I use grooming powder for mine} & sprinkle it in the problem areas rub it in & leave for a while then give those areas a good brush,brush the wrong way against the fur to start with to give it lift & then bring it back down,the heat is making them go extra greasy & the powder will help absorb it so you could give her a light dusting all over if the coat is looking dull & heavy,Shimba just helped with this I was typing away with him giving me headbutts & right at the end when I looked up all except the first couple of words was in capitals,thanks Shims,he says to tell Kali that he gets lots of little knots between his front legs too,mother says not another one here we go again........ If the knots are too bad you might have to cut them out but very often you can work away gently & pull them out,good luck.....x
