Happy Christmas gang!
Got Da Bird and little Herbie went wild for it as predicted. Aerobatics and gymnastics like we've never seen before. Fell down panting with his tongue out like a dog, ate some turkey and crashed out under the table.
Turkey was defrosting in the spare bedroom (don't ask), and Monty was trying to dig his way under the door by ripping up the carpet. I told him off and he went and weed in the other spare room just inches away from the litter tray. Naughty, naughty Monty. When I was stuffing the turkey Monty leapt onto my shoulders from the kitchen table, making me jump out of my skin. He stood on my shoulders like a giant furry parrot, laughing his head off, so of course I gave him some turkey bits. Monty then raided the bin and pinched the cooked giblets that I'd drained out of the stock, and spread them around the floor before I noticed what he was up to. Time for some more sherry....
Later on I was spreading tablecloths out on the dining table and Larry and Monty started dive-bombing and skidding across the table, as if I was changing the bedclothes. So it took a while to arrange the tablecloths to their satisfaction. OH unwisely got Da Bird out again at this point, and various objects went flying, so it was put away for the rest of the day.
When I was putting the cheese away there was a perfect imprint of someone's front teeth in the cheddar. No-one wants to eat their actual dinner whilst there's so much turkey, ham, cheese, cream etc in the house. We had some delightful cat-loving guests so it was all great fun.

PMSL Howlinbob I defrosted the turkey in the bath ...... blinking stoopid thing to do with a MC in the house!!! Turkey survived thankfully - RIP plastic bag, giblets and have no clue where the Parson's Nose went!!!
Making the stuffing was great fun, not with the cats fighting to get at the onion and me shouting "no its poison" ... finally got stuffed turkey in the oven about 2am and had Buddy laid out on the draining board staring at the oven door and Fudge laying on top of the hob .... it wasn't going to escape now was it?
Finally got to bed at 3am ... got woken at 4am by humanoid asking what time I was getting up grrrrr .... took me an hour to get back to sleep only to be woken again at 7am by stereo cat snoring!!
We've had a wonderful day. Now have a cat each side of me with heads on my laps and the snoring has started up again :s I really need to go bed and get the cats up early for a bath and groom as we have the local papeer coming round to take pics in the morning due to Fudge Jnr's story .... I wanna go bed ... dang can't move them .... sssshhhhh

Furry Christmas & Happy New Year to everyone! Got the Turbo Track before Christmas and just like a kid, I couldn't wait to open it and give it to Whiskey. DH thought I was nuts and wanted to wait for Christmas morning. Whiskey loves it. He especially loves playing with it at 3am. I change the design every week as I get bored. Now will have to look for the Da Bird that everyone is writing about. Again, won't be able to wait & give it to him at Christmas next year.

Peter Galbavy I hold you soley responsible for the cat reaction to the Turbo Track ..... not sure who had more fun with it the cats or the kids ..... all I will say is I should have put it away before trying to sleep ...... happy kitties
