    There Ought'a Be A Rule...

...against felines wandering the house of a night!

Ran-Gan and SideWinder are up and down all night. They will jump up on the bed, two or three times an evening, then tussle abit, jump down and sound like they're tearing the house down as they 'scrap' through the hall.

Aside from that, Ran-Gan, once they settle down, will jump up on the bed every hour, get in my face and demand to be petted or stroke, show me some attention. Not that I mind but at 2:00am it's a bit much.

I haven't slung him across the room (ok, ok, I don't do that stuff) or kicked him outta the bed but it is getting annoying somewhat. If we shut the door he and SideWinder sit in the hall yowling to get in.

and then when you get up in the morning in a fowl mood and start slamming doors and kicking stuff out of the way they look at you like "jeeeez, calm down, grumpy much!?"
    I knooooow!
Neevie gets with me only before HO comes to bed -that's usually a good 2 hours after me - and she's quiet after that (not that she doesn't get up to naughy stuff, she just does it quietly) - although I do sleep with earplugs due to HO's trumpetting, so even if she howled I wouldn't hear her.
Only thing when she's with me is she's so heavy I can't really move to change position, so I'm usually really relieved when HO comes to pick her up... but she doesn't come for cuddles or anything.

There is a rule in our house.....all felines have their own bedroom they are only allowed to sleep out if they are poorly, hard mum I know but it is great watching them all putting themselves at their feeding stations for supper & being able to go round & say nite nite to everyone & equally as great in the morning opening the door & greeting them, very often Ruby decides that young teenage girls don't get straight out of bed so she gets left tucked up in bed a while, even better is if you open the door too early for any of them, you get fluttering eyelids from some, half open one eye from others & Shimba top cat gives you a p**s off look, priceless.
They are allowed down to bed for cuddles if they wish alongside mum having first morning cuppa, winter time is best as they want proper cuddles but at this time of the year they tend to bird watch except for Bruce who does still want his early morning loving....!!!!
