hey we do, we have the queen's jubilees and birthdays and all the royal weddings and such - always cause for a celebration in the UK isn't it?
in France we have 14th July , Bastille day - fireworks and such also - supposed to celebrate freedom and end of the monarchy even though since then we've had an emperor and a few kings (we didn't cut off their heads we just exiled the last one and had a president instead....)

omg, yes and the birth of Prince William's bebe! That will be a great day in the UK. There will be celebration everywhere! I love, love, love the royals (could be my English blood?) I have read much history of the UK 14th Century through current. I am glad that the be heading has stopped!
