Here in the States the Royal Canin Kitten 36 is just their regular all-breed kitten food. They do not offer a Maine Coon Kitten food. They do sell their Maine Coon 31 cat food which is big round pieces. Our 7 month old MC loves the big pieces. I purchase our Royal Canin from Petsmart or Petco as they usually will have them on sale. Royal Canin has a loyalty program. Save the UPC symbols from the bags of food (doesn't matter where you bought them). Once you have 10 UPC symbols, you mail them in and they'll send you a coupon for a free bag.

RC Maine Coon kitten was only introduced into the UK earlier this year and is available direct from Royal Canin. It doesn't seem to be rolling out to pet shops very quickly though. The whole range of kitten and Maine Coon adult kibble seems to suit my cats and kittens pretty well, they love it, their coats are in amazing condition with minimal brushing from us, and there are very few knots or hairball problems.

I got a bag of Royal Canin Maine Coon Kitten to try from my boys breeder the other day. He has been on kitten 36 but he's a pig and practically inhales the stuff so the Maine Coon kitten is doing him good. He's eating less of it and I actually hear him chew now! lol He'll be going onto Maine Coon adult when he's a year old. Seems to be the only stuff he will eat, tried him on Orijen and Applaws and he turned his nose up at it so will be sticking with RC.

When I got Oliver, the breeders had been feeding him RC MC 36, so I continued with that. I tried several science diet kibble for kittens, but he turned his nose up at all the rest, so I've stayed with RC.
I have a friend with a MC that's 18 years old, and he's just brought him back from overseas a couple of weeks ago. The poor kitty is declining fast. I brought him some RC 36, since he's thin as a rake, and I figured that kitten food wouldn't do him harm. He just called me, saying that his cat stopped eating. He tried feeding him all sorts of fish and chicken, but wouldn't touch it. Finally he tried the RC, and he ate it. He said that if his cat hadn't eaten, it would've most likely have been the end for him. I know he won't last much longer, but I'm glad they're able to spend a bit more time together.
