I just feed mine as they want to eat .
My two kittens got through the last 2kg bag of kitten food in 11 days .They are 19 weeks old and one of them is huge (well I think he is anyway)

But it is the smaller of the two Nero who eats most . Mind you Nero is like a tom and jerry cartoon and is always rushing about.

I think this is highly variable. I have 3 litter mates. All graze on dry stuff 24 hours a day and are separately fed wet. 2 of them eat from a tea to tablespoonful in a sitting and in total maybe half a pouch per day. The other will happily eat 2 pouches for breakfast and maybe another later on in the early evening although he is never as ravenous then. At 36 weeks, 1 is 5.85 kg and the other 2 are 3.15 kg.

What is normal for MC's? we just worked out what ours eat and despite one of them being a bit podgy it seems really low, so would be good to get a comparison
15kg of food (dried applaws) has lasted us 5.5 months for 2 cats making them eat 45gr a day each, they also get 50gr of wet food a day each, seems really low, but this is all they eat, I rarely have empty bowls
    Sounds suspiciously low doesn't it?

We also are owned by 3 litter mates & I agree with Caternity Leave, it is highly variable. Ours also always have dry food down to graze on & get fed wet food twice a day. Sometimes the pouches will all go, usually not. I was worried as I didn't think that they ate enough ... but when we went to the vet for their boosters and check up last week he was very happy with them - not over and not under weight. They all weigh around 6.4 kg, but are extremely active cats - always on the go!
