Thanks - I'm going to try your suggestions. AFK - my cat is your boys' half sister! How are you getting on?

    Hey there,

I remember now that we got our kittys from the same breeder :-) The boys are doing really well and have settled in perfectly, they rule the house now lol. I will put up some more pics of them tonight as they have completely changed from when they were kittens! Khan now has a true bushy MC tail and Shadow is still the small one but not by much. To give you an idea on how much they have grown since I got them on the 21st Feb Khan was 1.8kg and Shadow was 1.4kg I weighed them last week and Khan was 3.4kg and Shadow is 3.1kg :-) They love their climbing frame and the cat tree and have nearly tipped the tree over even though it's massive!

I am about to get them a harness as once they are nuetured at 6months it's walkies time lol. Oh I also forgot to say buy some mince from the supermarket and see if she likes that as it will save you buy a load of food from natural Instincts and finding she doesn't like it! Good luck :-)

    OK AFK . . . get ready . . . . I have a million questions!!!!

So I'm guessing you get the kitten variety of the animonda - which is a wet food? How much do you give them? Does this mean they have 3 wet meals a day and then the natural instinct stuff morning and evening? Do you get a kitten variety of the natural instinct and how do you know how much to feed? SORRY! I did warn you!

Thanks in advance! I must put some pictures of Bluebell on here. She look so much like your boys. She is so affectionate and gentle with my children.

Ha that no probs happy to answer ur questions.

Yes I get the kitten variety of the animondat and it is wet food, its jelly not gravy and they have plenty of flavours. I do give my kittens 3 meals a day as that is what Lucille said to do and I do natural instinct in the morning and evening. As for amounts I have read as kittens you should give them around 5-6% of their body weight per day so I go by Kahns weight I did last week of 3.4kg so I times 3400 x 6% and then divide by 3 which is around 68g per serving. I have a little kitchen scale I use, but tbh I know the rough amount and sometimes don't use the scales and just judge it.

There is no kitten variety of the natural instincts you just use the normal stuff on there, but I am waiting on giving them the chicken wings as they don't really have the teeth for the bones yet.

Hope that answers your questions But do try buying some mince from the supermarket first as not all cats take to raw food, but then you can always go for the animonda or a high meat food like it.

    Hi There.

Our Martha has IBD and a very sensitive tummy, she seems to be ok with boiled chicken and porta21 dry food, although Porta is not a kitten food sorry :(

Pro-Kolon can help firm up stools to make it a little less unpleasent for them and you but good luck in finding a diet she seems to get on with.

We have so been there - poor old Sidney has had colitis and landed up at the vet in a bad way from fine in about a day.
We now stick to pure Orijen dry food with plain cooked chicken or white fish every now and again and we now have nice solid, reasonable-smelling poo, no more wet wipes and bum-shaving. I never want to have to do that again. Ever.

On a separate note - can I recommend Mynwood Cat Jackets for walks? They are splendid! Can't recommend then highly enough, Sid loves his. MynwoodCatJackets.co.uk - The original handmade cat walking jackets
