    Fat cat vs. Skinny kitten

I now have a fairly portly looking Sylvester (I can't believe I was trying to get the calories into him just over a month ago!) and a rather bony 5 month old Dudley. Dudley eats like a horse and Sylvester seems to have upped his intake since he's arrived but how do I keep Sylvester slim while beefing out Dudley? I want to feed Dudley ad libitum but Sylvie scoffs it too. Any tips?
They've started wrestling each other by the way- Dudley holds his own but it's a case of heavy weight vs. super featherweight!!

Merlyn tends to put on weight very easily so over the last couple of years no way have I been able to feed ad lib,so I can give the others larger supper bowls I feed & keep Merl seperate at night although they have brekkie together with me monitoring the situation but they all know that during the day if any one of them is a bit peckish if they stand by the utility room door they will be allowed in & get a top up,if they meow its a no go because Merl hears & comes out to see what they want, the two girls never bother but the other three lads soon learnt silence pays off in this situation,it has paid off for Merl as well he has gone back to the fun loving boy he was before the waistline exploded,he still looks funny from behind when he runs but then he was like that as kitten as well so no change there....
I should think Dudley should have an advantage being lean & spry,as long as he doesn't get flattened first.
Good luck with sorting out Sylvesters waistline, not an easy task with more than one but worth it to have twice as much fun !

Thanks guys. I just can't believe how quickly sylvie has filled out- my partner guesses he weighs about a kg heavier than when we got him a month and a half ago. I think he's pretty much ideal at the moment but with the way he scoffs, he won't be for long. They're both on bozita at the moment which I thought was pretty good for keeping cats svelte. Must be the kibble that's down all day!

    Fat cat v skinny kitten

Biscuit down all day was Merls downfall, although it was against what I believed in I thought being such big cats it should be done, very soon gave up on that when he ballooned & went back to wet food with just a smattering of biscuit & they are all fine weight wise, just dare not feed Merl with the others because he is a straight down man & four of the others take their time to enjoy it & I know he will pinch from their dishes, he even done it when there was the biscuit he could go to,Welly is the same as Merl but he is a gentleman & doesn't intrude on the others so he gets to stay with the group,he was taught his manners by bruv Shims who wacked him round the lug once when he tried to get Shims last biscuit out of the dish & the look that went with it was a sure no,no,even though the lonely biscuit had been there quite a while !
They will all differ a lot on weights though, the two baby bruvs have now got a 2.5kg weight difference between them & the heaviest is still the one that eats the less,if I put in front of him what a domestic cat ate he would be put off altogether & just walk away,he always has a dainty dish of food that you wouldn't think would keep a fly alive, but he has growed & growed......
