Personally (and others may have different opinions) I would remove all food / water immediately. Sterilize water bowl (quick boil in water) and replace with fresh water, and lots of it.
Get some fresh white fish (cod, coley, river cobler etc) and steam it. If you don't have a steamer you can do this either by putting in a pyrex etc bowl over a pan of boiling water or failing that loosly wrap in foil and chuck in oven. Feed small amounts of cooked fish for absolute minimum of 24 hours, pref 48. Only leave fish down for 20 or so mins and bin what is not eaten. After 24 hours you could try adding a little plain steamed / cooked rice to act as a binding agent. You could then try a little chicken, turkey etc.
If cat is still ok mix chicken / turkey with cat food until back to normal routine.
ANY doubt - vets.
Hugs to humans and furries xx
