Thread: Maine Coon not putting on weight

We've been concerned as she is now sleeping nearly all the time over the past 48 hours. A couple of normal bowl movements, but she isn't eating as much.

I spoke to the vet this evening, we are taking her in tomorrow at 11am for a consultation and some more tests, I've also asked for some antibiotics incase she caught something when she was run down. No FIP results back yet, although I have heard they aren't exactly conclusive anyway even if positive. Next options are an X-ray, ultrasound, more blood work specific to liver and toxins in the blood and antibiotics.

She went out of the room earlier and we couldn't find her, we hunted everywhere and I found her curled up in a shoe box under the bed bless her.

I've been in contact with the breeder and cattery owner the past couple of weeks, but she is saying to refer her to Langford, she can't offer any more insight.
