What a cutie Daniel! We haven't experienced this either with our MC. However, I once had a large white tom (inherited stray) that used to do the same thing. We never were successful in the various treatments tried by vets tho'. We just did our best at watching and keeping the wounds clean. Also trimming of his nails/claws helped some (when he would let us).
