My experience: I had the same problems with my MC male. He too had blood in his sloppy & highly stinky poo which was tracked thru the house on occasion. I put him on cooked ground up chicken for 3 days then slowly added back his kitten food. Once he was back on kitten food, he had the same problems again. I even tried different dry and canned kitten foods with no success. At 6 months of age he saw a new vet. This vet told me that kitten food can be too rich for some kitty tummies. She told me to try the dry Royal Canin Maine Coon 31. I did the chicken again for 3 days then slowly introduced the RC 31. This cleared him up. His poo has been normal since and he's now 9 months old and still loving the RC 31. I love the big kibble bits as they're great for his teeth. I also give him about 1 tablespoon of canned cat (not kitten) food as a treat for breakfast and 1 tablespoon for dinner.

With a lot of cats in the home, you may have to change the diet for everyone as they all have access to the same food bowls. When one cat has to eat special food, I just give it to all of the others as long as it isn't bad for them.

Good luck and I hope you find a cure soon.
