Yes it normal to bring hairballs up my cat does, you can also buy a liquid from the vets, I just brush my cat and get as much fur as i can and give the hairball control biscs

Hairballs are not that unusual, particularly at times of the year when they are shedding. One of our girls does one maybe once a month on average. Some never have them.
