Normally when they do a "protest"its because of a change in circumstances however small & they use it as a protest but daughter had same problem with her MC cat & it was because of the lids on the tray,don't know why she was so suddenly averse to them but when she took the lids off all went back to normal,same thing happened with one of my girls {daughters cat's mum....!} years later & once again when I removed lids all was ok but in my case I wondered if one of the other cats had sat outside the tray while she was in there & felt threatened,one sure thing though is to keep your bedroom door shut from her in future....
Do hope duvet comes up ok...xxx
