Without boring everyone who has heard this particular rant from me before - just because they've got a "pedigree certificate" doesn't make them "pedigree". Anyone can produce a pedigree. Go on to Pawpeds and pick some random MC names, put them into Breeder Assist and Hey-Presto! You've got a pedigree! The original ad does not say these kittens are registered? If they are not registered with the GCCF, Felis Britannica (FIFe) or TICA then they are not pedigree. To be able to register the kittens both parents must be on the "Active Register" - meaning their original breeder sold them with permission to breed from them, i.e. not as Pets. As long as you get the transfer slip (the legal piece of registration paperwork that allows you to legally change the kitten from being owned by the breeder to being owned by yourself) then everything is above board. If not you just bought an expensive moggie
