Freyja's had her op
Okay, so Freyja went into the vets Thursday to be Spayed. Felt terrible leaving her there, and she was seriously grumpy Wednesday night as she's used to having access to food 24/7. Her mood was not improved Thursday morning when she realised I wasn't going to feed her then either. But - exactly as you all said a few weeks ago - she came home and aside from being a bit groggy for an hour or two, she's completely back to normal. I'm now anxious that she's going to burst her stitches because she's tearing around in psychokitty mode as per normal. I also had a microchip implanted at the same time and that's also not causing any discomfort.
She had the post-op check up yesterday and the nurse is happy with progress, and she goes back next Saturday for a final check up - I think the stitches are supposed to dissolve so I don't think they'll need to take anything out.
I am so relieved! Thank you to everyone who patiently dolled out advice a few weeks ago, it definately helped keep me a bit relaxed about it, so I wasn't giving off any anxt vibes for Freyja to pick up on.

Glad it all went well - I had a couple of girls spayed a few weeks ago and they seemed to take a while to get over it whereas one of our youngsters was spayed and you wouldn't have known anything had happened to her!

Glad that all went well and you survived the pre op fast! There is nothing quite like a mc who is not allowed their breakfast I found. One thing I can assure you is that she will not open her wound, my two carried on with their usual 'gentle' play and Roxy was fine I however was a bag of nerves every time they had a mad half hour!
