Thread: Anxious – Minnie has her op tomorrow

About the time you get your update I will be leaving for work so will have to wait until late this evening to find out how things went & when you get her home.
Pansy was only just the 2kg when we spayed her,due to her flat chest we were a bit worried about giving her anesthetic but the boss reckoned it was worth the risk because as small & feeble as she was she kept coming into call,so at a year old I bit the bullet,I don't normally go in when it is one of mine on the operating table but for her didn't think it was fair to put the responsibility onto a workmate,I couldn't believe how well she took it all,she was one of the first round but she hadn't been done until last & she just sat there demanding attention & looking pretty put out at the loss of coat,as usual "parent"suffered more than pet...

The guys on the forum were all bang on when they said she'd be back to normal as soon as the anaesthetic had worn off - she was. She barely seemed to notice that she even had stitches! Don't know how much Minnie weighs but Freyja was 3.4kg the day of the op, which I think is probably a little on the small side for a 6 month old MC. I'm sure Minnie will be fine, and she'll have a great treat having your sole attention in the bedroom when she gets home. Be thinking of you tomorrow, it's horrible leaving them.

Like your Freyja, our Tatja also was right as rain after her op... racing up and down scratching posts the next day. Bur somehow Minnie looks so vulnerable because of her small size (3.5 kg at 7 months). But she's probably tough as old boots - she's never had any health probs, unlike her big cousin Tatja and sturdy-looking uncle Monty.

but got up today she has infection took her vets they are worried as it could get into her bone so she has to go back friday ,, see james who did the op he might want to keep her in to have op that day
girls are 5mths they were going to be spayed but will have to wait until anna is ok

I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope everything turns out well for poor Anna.
