Looking at this pic (where once again, his face and booties look to die for), the writing was on the wall that he would outgrow your dining table! Perhaps for the car you could invest in his own trailer!

I looked again and realised that with the divider down the XL Sturdi bag is 12"x 40" - so should be enough any one or even two of the boys once they grow, and should certainly be OK for initial group visits to the vet. I will look at the cheaper collapsible options before making a final decision, but that is one of the main requirements.

I've got a few weeks to decide - I have ordered the cat tree since that takes 4 weeks to build - but everything else is pretty much same week delivery. I checked with "petcarriers.co.uk" who stock the Sturdi range and the guy listed the colours they had in stock for the XL, so the "up to 8 weeks" comment is only for out of stock stuff from the US I guess.

Actually, I have seen pet trailers. Yes they really do sell those. But for bikes.

I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I didn't know she's a mackreral; she's just a blur (albeit a beautiful blur!) of colours to me and aside from the face, back of her head and her legs I've never spotted any stripes!

Just been looking at the photos of Freyja,just love her ears & lynx tips,on the ones of her about 7mths of age she looks as if she is carrying the classic pattern but harder to tell now,look on her pedigree certificate Karen,that will tell us all....

The XLarge is £30, which is less than 1/2 of the same product anywhere else (most places was over £60). Since it's Amazon themselves and not a marketplace seller I "trust" the description and chance of returns more

Also, read review(s) of no-name items and it seemed that the Petgear ones are metal/steel framed, the cheaper ones are crappy plastic.

This should do for all three "kittens" for the first few months and then I can always get more of the same if it's built well.

At the weekend I will get my canvas carrier out,mine is metal frame like the one from Amazon,leave it in the hall & see if I can get a picture of either of the biggest two cats in it so you can get an idea of the room available inside.When we come back from shows Merlyn will normally wander in & use it for a bedroom,I think he says to the other two boys that it was his show carrier first but when it just "appears"they all tend to hide up "just in case"it is a vets visit,not silly are they ? Shimba has just had to go to work for a few days running , he had ripped a claw completely out & all down one toe was a gaping big hole,must have done it out in the pen,don't know how or exactly where but it was badly swollen & very sore so when dad has been bringing in the white wire carrier we have had to play the game of finding the required cat,didn't know we had so many hiding places in one room but it has made them all a bit jumpy at the moment,will give it a go though...

That looks good, a lot easier than lugging several kg in weight around,pictures please if you buy & take your boy for a stroll round the neighborhood,pictures of peoples faces that is,can you imagine it,bet it would take you a while to go a short distance with Teddy on board....
