I have been through this myself with a rescue cat and 4 months down the line everyone is very happy - our remaining 3 lads get along just great, and Humphrey is fat and happy as the only cat in his new home, with a doting lady owner. I went to visit at New Year and Humph gave me lots and lots of sniffs and licks. He looked amazing and had a bed by the window and a big pile of toys. It brought a tear to my eye.
