We had our two done at the same time on the advice of my tame vet (shame his practice is in Malvern and we are in Stoke!) After he had finished laughing at me via email when I asked him about the difference between boy and girl kittens, not to mention what I can only call kitten porn at nine am (Rufus was actually Roxy) his words were 'they have no concept of incest so get them done at about six months'. I have to say that I had a worse day than they did, Dot the nurse at the practice had to almost peel my fingers off the carrier
The worst part for them was being starved - never come between Hector and his breakfast
.
When they came home they ate and then ran around as normal giving me heart stopping moments, then demanded more food.
Roxy had a stich in her side but it never had any problems and the vet took it out a week later.
