Wow he's gorgeous, lucky you! I'm sure they'll be great friends in no time. Early days yet, and things seem to be going to plan xxx

He sounds adorable Just on the point of taking him to the vets - before you got your first cat had you planned all those things well in advance or did you wait until just before she arrived to call a vet? I'm not sure how vets work! I.e. are they like dentists where you often have to wait months for an appointment?

It depends a lot on your vets - mine are really good and my "cat" vet likes to see all new additions as soon as possible after you get them, so he can check them out and meet them. I can usually get an appointment either same day or next day, but give your vets a call and see what they're like.

I booked Moto's appointment last week, as Mike had been on holiday and he gets very busy when he gets back :-))

He is absolutely gorgeous and he chatted the whole way there in the car lol. He gots lots of awwwwww's when I took him out of his carry bag, hehe and behaved very well - proud mummy :-) He's 1.92kg of noisy fluff lol.

Thanks for the advice - we have to start from scratch when choosing a vet as we've not lived here all our lives when our parents were taking our dogs/cats to the vet. I think we've found one - it's a pretty modern practice and it's got some good reviews, particularly from cat owners, online. I just wasn't sure if I should phone them in a month or so to let them know we were getting a cat and could we book him for an initial appointment or if I should wait.

Gosh...Teddy's over 1kg already - I'm frightened as to how big he's going to be by the time we go to pick him up!

Hi Sian,try & have a word with anybody local to you who has animals & see where they go,nothing like straight from the horses mouth as they say & most people who have animals don't mind you asking them,when you find somewhere phone & register him a couple of weeks before you collect him,just in case the worst scenerio happens & you need a vet straight away,we normally tell people who want to have a health check on a new arrival to wait for a few days to let the animal settle before bringing them in,too quickly after bringing them home they could still be unsettled from the journey & new environment,also tummy upsets could be due to same reason where as given a few days to settle it also gives you time to observe & to pick up on little queries that you might want to ask the vet about.When babe arrives home though if you have any concerns then phone the vets straight away,any babes with problems we get in as soon as possible even if it means we have to put them in between other clients appointments.
Of course it is compulsory at our surgery that any babes coming through have to pass the cuddle test first,sometimes that can take a few minutes,have known times when the vet has to fight to get patient onto the examination table but one has to be sure before handing over....x

He is sooooo beautiful. I love the white nose and the gorgeous ear tufts. There is a slight grammatical error in the registered name's meaning (no biggie, just Spanish is my 1st language lol) but poco is a quantity rather than size, so it would literally mean small amount or not many miracle(s). But that's really irrelevant! He truly is a beautiful little miracle. x

Hehe thanks Bloo - that's why I fell for him; he looks like he's dipped his mouth and nose into a bowl of cream.

I've no idea about grammatical Spanish, but it's the thought that counts eh? He was only 60gms when he was born, so I guess that's not much kitty lol ;-) x
