    How to groom a MC

Are you in contact with previous owner if so could you find out how she used to behave there, you would then know if she is trying it on with you or not.I think a lot of them don't like having their rear ends done but I have found quiet & firm insistance that it is going to be done finally wins round, never let them get away with thinking they have won is the main thing or next time it is harder because they think they are already boss over you, when I have had a struggle with any of mine they have been scruffed, had a good talking too then that area done again, even if it has only been a couple of goes with the comb just so I go out on top.
My brown boy was the head strong one over having drawers done & I used to get him laying on the floor hold his scruff to stop him moving get the comb & attack as much of his drawers as I could, then I would have him sitting on my lap his back against me & lift each leg in turn to get round the finer bits, all this could take several attempts & not on the same day either but as I lifted each leg I would make fun of it & blow on his toes & kiss them {hoping he had just not got out of litter tray}now he just sits on your lap to have his nails clipped & be groomed underneath no bother, when you get near to the back leg up it comes & you have a toe stuck in your mouth to blow on....
As to bathing I think you just have to go for it & pretend it is norm, I have found it easier now I have a good shower though rather than having to just use the bath, make sure you have everything to hand that you are going to need but if she really kicks off don't try to hang on let her go,a lot better to have to clean a flooded bathroom than a bloody one,I used to do mine on my own when they were little but now have hubby in to help keep them in the bath although he doesn't hold them because that seems to make them feel threatened he just has a game or talks to them while I shampoo or rinse & it seems to keep them occupied & more calmer, perhaps have worded that wrong, helps keep me a lot calmer !
The fun part of wanting to show, not, I always feel a wimp though because my breeder friend prepares up to three at a time to take with no bother & no help,I get in a state when I do decide to take the two,lot better only having to do one....!
Good luck I hope you can come to some agreement with your girl & perhaps be able to take her out to shows & have some fun, once you get there sounds as if she could teach you what to do.
