    New to site - hello!

Hi everyone I have been lurking here for a while but thought I would register finally!

I love reading everyone's stories about their MC kitties...I have two myself.

When I went to visit the breeder to choose and take home my first MC kitty, Phoenix, she said to me, 'once you take him home, and spend time with him, you will become addicted to this breed, and you will always want more!'. Well, it is true. I got my second boy, Tally, at the animal shelter where I work. I cannot believe that someone would just give him up, but - their loss, because he is the most affectionate charming little (big) man.

I don't think I will ever have a house without Maine Coons in it now, in between their antics of chasing each other around the house, demanding I turn the faucet on, tiny meows that come out of their massive mouths, and the fact that I have never needed an alarm clock since these guys came to live with me, well, I wouldn't be without them

Phoenix is the cream tabby, and Tally is the silver tabby. I have a thing for tabbies!

Heya! welcome to the forum I think everyone here will agree that they're addictive - I've not even picked my little guy up yet and I'm already wanting more...

Hi and welcome! I second (third?) the addictiveness; I only have one at present but it's a constant struggle not to give into temptation and get another... Phoenix & Tally are both lovely looking, I also have a weakness for tabbies particularly the silver variety!

Welcome to you & your two furries,I don't know why people think these cats are addictive I would never have had more than the six & I personally don't like reds, closely followed by silvers especially of the mackerel tabby pattern, then you can add to the other colour dislike list, blue, brown tabby, black & white + tabby tortie,ok I am telling fibs, guess what colours have come into our family, not necessarily in the order above, cats are something I never thought I would get addicted too until the first MC entered our door.
If you work at a shelter & another comes in me thinks Phoenix & Tally will soon have another furry friend no matter what colour...x
