    Thistleglen Teddy Boy

Well, he's finally here! I haven't been able to get on here sooner because I've been crazy busy and just haven't had the time. It's also awfully difficult to tear myself away from him to type this! He has a thing for laptops though so if he weren't sleeping, I'm sure he'd be helping me type!

We picked him up around lunchtime yesterday and our breeder told us they'd decided his pedigree name would be Thistleglen Teddy Boy. It's so retro - I love it! (god, I sound like a twat here - typical student, eh?). He was quite happy to sit in the carrier whilst in the house but it was a different story when we left! He wasn't fussed about the train journey at all! We finally got home around three.

I was expecting him to be pretty quiet for the first few days and while he has been at times, particularly yesterday, he's also been happily playing and loves napping next to us as well as having snuggles. He didn't start eating much until this evening and he seemed to have something wrong with his eye but it looks better now. We're going to the vets in the morning so if there is a problem, I'm sure they'll let us know!

He and Dave are best friends and Dave's parents met him today - they decided he's pretty lovely even if he is a cat! His sister hasn't ventured over yet.

He loves his toy mice and running from one end of our lounge through the hall and into the kitchen - it's a straight route so he can get a good run at it. He doesn't like us leaving the room he's in but the flat is small so he's learnt how to find us when he can't actually see us. Unless we're in the loo in which case he sits outside and anxiously awaits our return from the mystery land of the bathroom!

I have photos and videos which I will upload soon!

Congrats. On the eye thing, my Leo got a slight conjunctivitis when I took him to the vets, the change in warm to cool air said the vet and nothing to worry about. But check with the vet on the first visit.

    I've attached some photos!

We've just got back from the vet and she said Teddy is fine and that his eye gunk was probably just because of him being a little stressed and possibly too nosy!

He's annoyed with us as the moment as we took a box away from him - he was trying to chew the sellotape off it. He knows where we've put it so he's lingering in that area and meowing at us!

Congratulations, he's here at last after all that waiting! He looks absolutely brilliant! What a cheeky face and big ears, who could fail to be won over???? Our Larry had a touch of conjunctivities when we brought him home, but it soon cleared up. He's very used to me wiping his eyes now, it's no problem at all.

Have you noticed yet that kittens are the biggest timewasters? (in the best possible way of course?) When we first got ours home, everything else went out the window - work, housework, social life.....and we don't regret a single second!
