I think i've probably said this before but it's worth saying again just to increase your excitement about your new boy (if that's possible)
Pretty much every Maine Coon i've had the pleasure to meet has it's own little individual trait, as well as the awesome common coonie traits like playing fetch etc. etc. and to me this is what makes the breed so fantastic and addictive.
Here's a few examples of some of my lots quirks;
Rocky pads in his sleep, (he really is fast asleep, we've tested it)
Diesel does one lap of my legs in the morning then just falls over like he's been shot,
Misty gets so carried away when you fuss her that she starts to dribble.
Jasmin sits on the kitchen table after tea every night, she chirps at me then looks up at the top of the fridge, then back at me (we keep the feather ticklers up there so they don't get destroyed when we aren't around)
Saffi jumps on my lap, puts a paw each side of my neck and nibbles my ears.
Holly will jump on my shoulder at every opportunity and just balance there, purring in my ear.
Jools has a thing about bags, shopping bag, handbags, any bag really. you leave one on the floor and he's in it like a flash.
Nanuk plays the Saxophone (see my gallery)
Plus each one has it's own distinct voice which is instantly recognisable.
Wonder what you little boys party piece is going to be, can't wait to find out.Last edited by MickB; 27th June 2011 at 05:16 PM.

Can't wait to see the pics and hear all about your fur baby and his little traits. And I love the name.

Aw thanks for all the stories and descriptions of your fur babies! Great to read! His breeder has always said he's one of the most laid back kittens they've had and whenever I got to see him all the other kittens wriggle around when you try and hug them, he just goes all floppy and starts purring. hehe
I have been naughty and will be getting another Coonie but not until next year. Shall be a long wait but she'll be totally worth it!

Ha,ha,laid back is just having you on,all a con,my Shimba was the most laid back baby & bruv Welly dead opposite, until they came into this house & then for the next 18 months it was all change,he nearly went back more than once only my breeder friend had the locks changed, just in case....
So a girl next year is it,have you already picked out the mating you want her from....?
Think you are very good waiting until next year x

Merlyn is the drooler, big time if you blow & kiss behind his ears, bearable if you just make a general fuss & Shimba is in the bag organiser, when the Avon lady comes round everything is always re-arranged for her so she doesn't put them in any order now until she is ready to leave mine for the rest of her deliveries.Bruce is the padder, first thing in the morning while I am in bed & thereafter every time you sit in the chair,of course it then follows on that you have to go through the kissing routine & arms round your neck for a head butt & ear nibble,Pansy bless her just sits & watches everything going on with her pink tongue sticking out but she will chew carrier bag handles given the chance & as for Welly, sometimes he is a luv bug, more often than not he is looking for trouble,he has now took over being a worse thief than Merl, didn't think that would ever happen,& the knicker thief bless her,RIP.
Agree with different voices they all have their own which makes it easy to distinguish & reply to the right cat when there is more than one, also if they are running about & I am in another room I can tell which one it is,they all seem to motor around differently so yes Gaara looking forward to hearing about all the exciting things that will happen to you when Bullet arrives, one thing for sure it is going to be easier than having a baby but I am sure everything will be moved round again when little furry hits the household....x
