Thread: Poor Paddington :(

So Paddingtons trip to the vets yesterday went well. They didnt change his cast and just checked it was still in place.

We saw a different vet to normal and he was much more straight talking. He said he thinks it is just a strain/sprain and that he will be fine in no time. He said Xrays are being sent off as a precaution and because its free we may as well do it.

Paddingtons cast stays on until this Friday, he will have it removed and spend the day at the vets so they can check out how he is doing. Hopefully when we collect him in the evening his cast will be gone! Fingers crossed. I really hope the ortopaedic people say that his xray is normal! Took a photo of my boy sitting on his "lawn" with his sister! I thought you all would like this!!!

So pleased you saw a more straight forward vet,know which one I would try & get in future,fingers crossed when results come back x

Poor Paddington had a little poo party last night.

Whilst he was shut away he did a poo, stepped in it, then his bandaged leg acted like a poo rubber stamp dolloping little poo circles all over the floor. After this he knocked his water bowl over, played around in it then went to sleep. We awoke to this chaos when we opened the door to the hall this morning. Paddington didn't seem to care though, he was laying on the floor on his back, legs akimbo (like a squashed spider) COVERED in poo and trotted off into the lounge like nothing had happened. Grrrrrrrrrr.

Took him to the vet tonight to have his bandage changed and because his foot was so wet underneath they have had to keep im in overnight to wait for it to dry out then put a new one on in the morning :(((((( Poor little man.

Uuuuuuuuuumm this made m laugh...a lot!! xx

Had the call we were dreading yesterday. The Orthopedic people have reviewed Paddingtons X-rays and he does have a small fracture in one of the bones in his wrist. The vet told me that this *might* be able to heal itself with strict cage rest for 2 weeks and if not surgery will be our only option at a cool £2500.

Acquired a cage last night and will start the cage rest today. Poor little guy, he is going to hate this :(

Any ideas on how to keep an MC entertained whilst on cage rest? Any experiences????
