Thanks again Mick, when my lad came in he argued that he didn't need to do it etc, and the classic "who told you that? And what do they know?" Told him to Google you, 10 mins later without saying a word he went off to the shed and did it. Then up the gun club tonight he told everyone that he had done it and name dropped lol.
Oh don't, I can see this thread going south as well lol. Please remember my OH isn't due home for another 3 months

Actually Catslave it's me that needs to thank you!
All this archery talk has really me realise how much I miss it. So i am going to come out of retirement and start shooting again.
I'm not sure if i can get back to my old standard before London 2012, but technically i still have time to qualify and hey..you never know
Plus my wife says i really should start interacting with humans a bit more....LOL

That's BRILLIANT news Mick! You never know unless you try, London's still a way off so best of luck, just remember your health is more important. Oh, and when interacting with humans just remember the normal greeting is "Hi" or "Hello" not "chirup" or "meow" x

My archery, to go off topic, has suffered big time as my club shoots indoors on a Saturday and it's so damned hard to find the time. Perhaps in my new job I will be able to find the breathing space to get back into it too, and Weds evenings when they shoot outside. To go slightly closer back to topic... I was considering setting up my garden to practise (it's just long enough) but after new decking and then these bundles of fluff it's a no no

I know I replied to you earlier Peter but its vanished (major pc probs my end me thinks). We shoot in the garden some times, cats safely locked indoors, and have some hessian (sp) sacks that we throw down and an old carpet to protect wall. We're really lucky here as gun club is a very small one and the owner lives on site, so can shoot indoors or outdoors anytime. There's also a private woods nearby that allows archery and air weapons. And just to p-- you off, got a private beach 200 yards away that we're allowed to shoot on. You need to make time for yourself, all work and furries is not good for you, you need some "me" time x
