we love this water fountain
We had issues with watering our cats in the past from a plastic bowl, out domestic short hair had a skin irritation and said cats are sensitive to plastic. We looked for fountains but all were plastic for a long time. Found a stainless steel one that was a little pricey but he cats love it. Hope someone finds this helpful.

Honestly these cats of ours, they cost more than children to keep. I really am amazed that you thought you could get away by giving your cats water in a plastic tub, when they could have stainless steel and a nice price tag, Silly fur slave.

I had no idea plastic was bad. Only thing we will use besides stainless, is ceramic. But by far I am a slave to these cats, and if they require a fountain, the human cat servant shall provide it. :-)
p.s. the fountain is the Drinkwell 360

I've been debating getting one of those stainless steel ones. We have a ceramic fountain and it's pretty good. I am looking for one that holds more water though because my cats empty them too fast.
The only problem I have is my Maine Coon loves to play in the water with her feet, and the filter ends up getting clogged with fur!
