Thread: Height of Maine Coons

Measured Whiskey with some difficulty as he kept chewing on the tape measure. He is now 13lbs and at 10mos in the sitting position is about 17" tall to the tips of his ears. Our kitchen cabinets are 18" between them. He sits under them just fine with space to spare. On our cat tree there is 18" between the 3rd & 4th tier and he sits there too without a problem.

As for the fountain, if you get it and find it too tall for the kittens, just use a bowl until they can reach the fountain without problems. They grow in a blink.

Whiskey came home at 14wks old and couldn't jump onto the tiers of his cat tree but tried a few times every day. By 18wks of age he was a pro. His favorite perch is the top tier. We also got a standard size litter box for him when we brought him home and within 1wk he was going outside the box so we then bought the biggest size so he wouldn't out grow it and he was fine.
