Thread: Matted Maine coon

Some MCC are more prone to matting then others, my Samantha didn't like me combing her britches so she'd get mats and once my ex left I couldn't cut them out by myself so about twice a year I'd have to take her to the groomer for a dematting and a bath, the girls there loved her and she came home with her coat just glowing.
I also had them thin out the belly fur and trim a potty patch, so no klingons.
The secret is get them used to being combed and have grooming sessions at least twice a week.
