Dizzy & Abi 'do' studio
Had a shoot today that entailed having the studio equipment out, so once the clients had left, I let the cats out and Dizzy and Abi came to investigate....so of course, I couldn't resist keeping the camera going....

You wouldn't believe how many shots it took to get a few good ones
...actually, you probably would!

Wonderful. Ah, to have the space and the ceiling height to "play" with wrinkle free, disposable paper backdrops :-)

Oh I can imagine how many pics you made! It's always difficult to get at least one good pic of the cats. Most time they just turn around when you press the botton of the camera...
But your result is fantastic !

Space isn't too bad, ceiling height is just normal, these are kiddie shoots for an agency, so backdrop is only about 6ft high and its just a 1.6m wide roll. The shoot requires bright white backdrop, so 3 lights, but turned the BG lights off to do the cats, so can be done in very limited space, just a flipping great diffuser of some sort on your main light does the job

Thankyou!
LOL, not sure they are the 'best' but thank you anyway
Thanks
Thanks, they do have magnificent tails, love em to bits.

Gorgeous. I have always admired your photos without realising that you are a professional. I feel better about my snaps now that i know even the experts struggle to get their cats to perform for the camera!

Haha, yep, cats will be cats regardless, although these two are a bit easier than the other 3 because they are so food orientated, so a few dreamies and they can be persuaded to at least remain in roughly the right position, it is getting their faces poiting the right way that can be tricky
