Yes I wonder if slug pellets are still as dangerous to cats. I used to put them down in my garden to no ill effects (on the cats anyway). Now I don't use them at all and the flowers have to take their chances!

Normal slug pellets are still dangerous to dogs, cats and children. My friends dog almost died last year from slug pellets it had got hold of in her fathers garden. It was touch and go for a couple of days. Fortunately she pulled through. You can buy animal safe slug pellets now though.

That's good to know. I haven't used pellets for years, and try to plant slug resistant shrubs and bedding instead, with the occasional slug pub if they get really bad.
