Sampson - The Maine coon/persian mix, but how much coon?

We was looking to get a maine coon as our second cat (Our first one sadly has to be put down due to aggressive cancer. Not easy making a decision for a pet that grew up with you for 12 years)

Pure-bred was just too expensive for us, so we opted for a mix, something that was totally different in terms of breeds, gender and color.

The mother is a pure-bred maine coon and I -think- the father was coon/persian mix.

    Personality

He loves water - His first encounter with a running tap was literally "Lets put my head under there" he didn't flinch or anything, he could sit there putting his head and neck under the tap for hours if we allowed him to.

He acts like a dog - Very loyal (follow you around etc) plays fetch with balls (he doesn't bring the balls back in his mouth, he rather hit them back at you) and learnt how to sit on his back legs for 4-5 seconds for a treat.

Fur - He does NOT have ear tufts. He has tiny tiny ones, but barely noticeable. He has whispers of hair in his ear, between his paws and feet. His body fur changes depending on the mood, sometimes it's all flat and smooth and sometimes it looks really "shaggy". He sometimes puffs the fur on his cheeks out, mostly after playing (way to cool down maybe?)

He does have a maine, which isn't -really- noticeable due to his coloring and mood, but when he's fully awake and active, it does look like a "lion's maine" Short shoulder fur and thick fur on the hind legs.

Body shape + Tail - Long and rectangular body, powerful back legs, VERY strong. He is 6 months 1 week old and is bigger then majority of most house cats. His tail is quite bushy with that shaggy look to it.

    He weighed 8lb last week.

Other Info - He chirps and talks, obsessed with licking me on the face/hair. I read that male maine coons like to "pick a favourite" if a household has multiple people, he gives me more direct affection and invites to play then the other person.

He is teething really badly at the moment, but his 4 main front teeth are REALLY long. He also really loves rough play and always comes back for more whilst purring his heart out. We even had to resort to buying him a dog rope as he breaks "toys for cats" extremely quick. His tail (if you hold it back towards his body) comes up to his shoulders (which I also read that is another "tell tale sign"

He still tries and sleep on his kitten stall thing (the ones with the scratching post under it) but due to his size, half of him is hanging over the side and he seems comfortable like it.

He talks to himself too, whether it is short trills when chasing a ball, or moaning sounds after being told off. He is very vocal with ALOT of different tones.

Below is the pictures of him, the 2 of him laying down at 6 months, he had JUST woken up (someone asked for a picture haha) So he looks a bit flat :P

Thank you, yeah he is a pretty boy most of the time (specially when he has his fur spread out around his face and neck)

Someone at the vets (when he took him for his 2nd jabs) a lady asked "Is that a pure bred maine coon?" It wouldn't matter if he has only 1% of MC in him, he's really a unique cat!
